The Vandyke Necklace is full of vintage charm. I drew my inspiration from a pattern for Vandyke Edging in The Art of Crocheting published in 1895. This necklace is worn close to the neck and has an adjustable length of 15 to 17 inches. Additionally, it would be quite simple to alter the pattern for shorter or longer lengths.
The Vandyke Necklace pictured here was made using Sinfonia 100% cotton and a size D crochet hook. The pendant is 4" long from the top of the neck to the bottom tip and 4" across at the widest point. A multifaceted Czech Glass charm is centered in front and catches the light from all angles. Eight helpful photographs assist you as you make up your pattern.
